Perl)
- Development of software for the statistical analysis of experimental protein
list by means of set enrichment analyses (Java, Swing)
- Linux server and website administration providing generated data to
collaborators
- Designed a database system for data set management supporting the
monitoring and processing of complex biomolecular data.
Superintended and reviewed the development and implementation
(Perl, MySQL, HTML, JQuery).

Göttingen Graduate School for Neurosciences, Biophysics, and Molecular
Biosciences (Funded in the Excellence Initiative by the German Federal and
State Government)
Title: Reconstruction of metabolic pathways from heterogeneous
data (summa cum laude)
Development of methods for the prediction of metabolic functions in
de novo sequenced organisms from several biological
high-throughput data sets.
- Analysis of metabolomic massspectrometry, DNA micro-array, and
RNA-Seq data sets
- Enhancement of the MarVis-Graph software tool by graph
algorithms for scoring and sub-network detection
- Analysis of RNA-Seq data for pathway reconstruction and
creation of the PRSeq software tool (programmed in C)
Master of Science (2009 - 2011)
Georg-August-University (Göttingen)
Applied Computer Science (Bioinformatics): Graph-based analysis of mass-spectrometry data
(Overall grade: 1,8)
Investigation on the analysis of non-targeted metabolic massspectrometry data in
terms of metabolic pathways using graph algorithms. The developed Java
Software MarVis-Graph processes data from
metabolic and transcriptomic experiments and relates them using
biochemical reactions in the organism's metabolic network. Afterwards, graph algorithms are utilized to
infer and extract enriched sub-networks.
Bachelor of Science (2005 - 2009)
Applied Computer Science (Bioinformatics): Database development for the storage of metabolite-based
experiments (Overall Grade: 2.4 - good)
Development of a database schema to store large-scale non-targeted
massspectrometry measurements (PostgreSQL).
Additionally, construction
of a framework for the integration of remote biomolecular databases for annotation of the
measured experimental features in terms of known chemical molecules (Perl).
